Common Name- Scarlet Robin
Scientific Name- Petroica boodang

Location- Alexandra Bridge, W.A

Post Production- RAW conversion to 16-bit tif file in DPP4, the in Photoshop custom curves, levels, contrast, isolated saturation to breast only, noise reduction using Topaz denoise AI (first time using this plug-in), resize and subtle sharpen for forum.

Notes- We stayed at a holiday house at Alexandra Bridge near Margaret River for the Labor Day long weekend just gone, and the garden and surrounding bush was full of small birds and possums. For half an hour on Sunday we enjoyed watching a pair of Scarlet Robins foraging around the garden and orchard. After stalking them with my camera for a while trying to get a nice shot, the male decided to perch on the perfect perch and check me out. It’s the first time I’ve had the pleasure of photographing these beautiful little birds as, although we see a few around home, they keep their distance usually.
